I designed this in response to an internal urge to work more with earth tones. I'd taken this photo when I went to Jacksonville and Melbourne, Florida during spring break in 2003 and decided to play with the really soothing range of colors that a beach scene such as this provides. (This photo wasn't touched up at all, by the way.) I believe this is my favorite weblog layout to date, and one of my favorite designs out of all my work.

This was my first weblog layout that employed drop-down menus for the links.
